Anderson University Campus

The Valley

Anderson University
is a private Christian university of 2,700 undergraduate and graduate students in central Indiana. Anderson continues to be recognized as a top Christian college: in 2008, U.S. News and World Report ranked Anderson University among the best colleges and universities in the Midwest for the fourth consecutive year. Established in 1917 by the Church of God, Anderson University offers more than 60 undergraduate majors and graduate programs in business, education, music, nursing and theology.

ProDigital SoundStudios

Orangehaus Music Business Camp students will be producing and mixing recording projects at ProDigital SoundStudios, one of the top recording studios in the country for sonic tuning and unique design.

Fine Arts

Fine Arts Building

Krannert Fine Arts building houses the Departments of Music and Art and Design, the College of the Arts, the Wilson Art Galleries, classrooms, laboratories, practice and rehearsal rooms, recital venues, a MIDI lab, a recording studio, and faculty studios. It is located between Fifth Street and University Boulevard and was completed in 1979.

MIDI Lab

The Anderson University MIDI Lab includes sixteen individual workstations, each equipped with a Windows XP PC and an Alesis QS 8.1 or 6.2 keyboard connected to a central Mackie mixing console through individual Behringer mixers, enabling the instructor to monitor students individually either through headphones or speakers and students to monitor both keyboard audio and computer audio. All workstation computers are connected to the university network as well, enabling student and instructor file sharing and internet access, as well as printing on an HP LaserJet printer.

The software available on each workstation includes:

  • Sibelius 4 (music notation software)
  • Sibelius Instruments (tutorial for arranging and composition)
  • Neuratron Photoscore (music scanning and conversion)
  • Pro Tools 7.3 Academic Edition (pro audio and sequencing)
  • Sonar 6 (pro audio and sequencing)
  • Band-in-a-Box 2007 (song writing and improvisation)
  • Home Concert Pro (piano practice)
  • Musition 3.0 (music fundamentals)
  • Auralia 3.0 (ear training)
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 (image editing)
  • Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 (video editing)
  • Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 (web site design)
  • NetOP School (instructional management)

Dunn Hall

Dunn Hall

Dunn Hall accommodates 190 students, with boys and girls housed on separate sides of the facility. It is located on University Boulevard next to the President’s home, directly across from Krannert Fine Arts Center. The building was completed in 1954 and renovated in 1999.

Olt Student Center

Olt Student Center

Located on University Boulevard, Olt Student Center houses the Marketplace, Raven’s Haven, Mocha Joe’s, the Corner Pocket, private dining rooms, and the campus bookstore.
